Hello River Valley!
 Last week we prayed that "40 Days of Community" would serve as a catalyst for our four strategies. It is our hope that through this campaign we might develop a deeper understanding of their importance in our spiritual journey. Remember, that Wednesday, March 11th is our church- wide fast. As you fast from food or some other thing, use that spare time to pray for the following:
Please continue to pray that God's name would be glorified and shift the focus of your prayers from our four strategies to one of our three values. At River Valley we value the lost, families, and relationships.
This week we would like to direct the majority of our prayers to the lost. As we progress towards "40 Days" with the constant reminder that this is not about us, but for the Kingdom of God, pray that the lost people we come in contact with would be transformed by the person of Jesus Christ.
Pray specifically for the lost and un-churched people whom you will invite to church for Easter. Pray God moves in their heart and they accept Him as Lord and get involved in our church to become growing disciples of Christ.
Only God can change a person's heart and make them hate the sin they once loved. Only God can enable a man or woman to recognize the wonderful work of Christ on the cross. Only God can rescue people from the depths of Hell. However, it's an incredible thing that He has chosen to invite us on this journey so that we might rejoice all the more when another soul ... another individual ... finds freedom in giving their life to Christ. Pray that God will begin to soften and prepare the hearts of the lost that we come in contact with on mission projects, church invitations, or any other means.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-19 says, "Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit." In Love,
